Key Republicans nix idea to give FDA new power to regulate CBD

WASHINGTON – The Meals and Drug Administration says it wants Congress to provide it extra energy to control CBD. Two highly effective congressional Republicans made clear Thursday that they aren’t prepared to do this.

GOP leaders on the Home Oversight Committee blasted the FDA throughout a listening to Thursday for the ask, insisting that the FDA can, and will, regulate these merchandise like it will some other dietary complement or meals additive.
