Disaster-hit Go First on Friday introduced that it has cancelled flights scheduled until Could 28, 2023, i.e., subsequent Monday resulting from operational causes. The cash-strapped airline, which is present process insolvency proceedings, had earlier introduced that its flight operations are suspended until Could 26.
Owned by the Wadia group, Go First on Could 2 filed for involuntary insolvency and introduced the suspension of its flights, which was initially for 2 days.
Whereas Go First has expressed hope that it’ll resume its operations shortly, the Directorate Normal of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on Could 24 requested the airline to submit a complete plan for the revival of its operations, reported PTI quoting sources.
The aviation regulator has requested Go First to refund passengers who’ve booked tickets on cancelled flights and has additionally ordered it to cease the sale of tickets.
