Bengal Guv opens anti-graft cell in Raj Bhavan, Mamata claims interference in state matters

New Delhi: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee mentioned Wednesday that the recently-inaugurated “anti-corruption cell” in Raj bhavan was an try by Governor C.V. Ananda Bose to “unnecessarily intrude” within the state’s issues.

Banerjee mentioned the Governor, with whom the state authorities has a relatively contentious relationship, was working beneath the BJP’s directions.

Earlier within the day, Governor Bose inaugurated the “anti-corruption cell” on the Raj Bhavan right here, and mentioned this may assist frequent individuals ahead their complaints to competent authorities.

Anybody who comes throughout corruption can report it to the anti-corruption cell, Bose mentioned. “We are going to take it up with the competent authorities,” he added.

He mentioned his “constitutional colleague” Mamata Banerjee had urged individuals in a rally to not bribe anybody. “She requested individuals to take a photograph of whoever demanded cash and ship it to her. That is exactly what we try to implement. That’s what we’re going to do,” Bose mentioned.

The governor had beforehand opened a “Peace Room” on the Raj Bhavan to handle violence-related complaints from individuals in districts through the recently-held panchayat elections.
